Anina Luoma — A Career at the Heart of Learning and Education Development

This fall, 3DBear's team has welcomed an exceptional number of new top professionals — people who strengthen Simuna's development, sales, and technology. Now it's time to complete the fall lineup with our newest addition: our COO, Anina Luoma.

A Path Through the Entire Learning Materials Landscape

Anina has worked with learning materials for over a decade. She knows the full spectrum of the field: content production and publishing, teachers' everyday reality and sales practices — from material creation all the way to its users. This background has given her an exceptionally clear view of the field's real needs and the ability to address them in the right way.

This kind of experience doesn't emerge overnight. It grows phase by phase, which is exactly what Anina captures with her reflection: "The things in life come to us when we are ready for them." Often it's only later that you realize how previous roles and lessons were already paving the way for the next ones — and why a particular moment feels right.

A Mission Born from a Love of School

When talking about her childhood, Anina almost always says the same thing: school was a place where she found it exciting and easy to be. It was a space she could have stayed in even after the school day ended — warm, inspiring, and full of the curiosity that learning is built upon.

Later she understood it wasn't just about her own experience. School was her first concrete realization that a learning environment can change a person's possibilities. It doesn't just support an individual child — it opens entire pathways: it sustains, gives direction, and makes possible a life that might otherwise remain out of reach.

That's why Anina approaches education seriously in her work as well. She wants to be part of building learning environments that open pathways for as many people as possible. Integrity, fairness, and empathy are her ways of ensuring that the shared direction feels right to people and carries them far.

When Anina talks about work, she doesn't talk about processes — she talks about people and purpose. She is goal-driven and meticulous, yet describes herself as broad-minded enough to recognize when something is already good enough to move forward — a balance born from experience and trust in the direction she's heading.

Anina holds master's degrees in both business and education. Before her current career, she worked as a classroom teacher and special education teacher, which has left a lasting imprint on how she understands learning and the everyday reality of schools. And perhaps that's exactly why her remarkably sharp memory for names, faces, and numbers surprises no one.

Alongside teaching and studies, Anina led group exercise classes, which strengthened her ability to meet people in diverse situations and recognize what kind of guidance and interaction helps each person move forward.

Why Now, and Why 3DBear?

When Anina joined the team, what spoke to her most was the opportunity to influence how vocational education takes shape in the coming years — not just at the level of individual content, but in how learning is thought about as a whole. At the same time, the company's culture felt like a natural continuation of her own values: an entrepreneurial, warm, and solution-oriented way of working where people share responsibility and where work has a clear direction.

She sees her work as part of a bigger picture, where technology doesn't replace teachers but gives them more space to connect with students. This is precisely the combination that CEO Jussi Kajala also recognizes, describing Anina as follows:

"Anina understands the learning materials landscape and customers' real needs with exceptional precision. She turns her insights into concrete steps that advance Simuna's development and align people toward a shared direction. Her impact is visible in our daily work and in 3DBear's growth story."

Looking Ahead

Anina particularly looks forward to the coming spring, when she'll bring Simuna's learning solutions to even more educational institutions. She's especially excited about the opportunity to build learning materials together with teachers in a collaboration where solutions are born from real needs. It's exactly this kind of work that shapes learning into something that truly works for students, teachers, and the entire education system.

Welcome to 3DBear, Anina!
